As the newest member of the SRE team, I’d like to give a big “HELLO!” to all of you out there! For those of you that may not know me, my name is Jenny Fultz.
December 4th, 2012
While I reside in Manchester, NH, I’m originally from Indianapolis (GO COLTS!).
I’m a total Midwest girl at heart, but I’m LOVING exploring New England; I learn
something new every day. Nowadays, terms like “leaf peeping” and “chowda” are
part of my vocabulary.
After moving out east, I quickly realized that I had the power to reinvent
myself both personally and professionally. No one out here knew my name, my
history, or what I could bring to the table. I took this move as being my key to
taking control over the nuances in my life – the “if I could change this...”
things. I’m happy to say that in celebration of the two year anniversary of
moving, I am confident that life is working out just like it should. And there
are very few “things I would change.” How did I accomplish this? Goals, goals,
Goals.
One of the first things you should know about me is that I’m a dreamer. I’m
always thinking of the next step and imagining how to make it better for myself
and everyone involved. I’m big into goals. If you don’t have a goal, it’s hard
to produce successful results. I’m not saying it’s always easy. But if you have
the right formula, you’re bound to end up with the right results. For me, the
formula was to be in a job that I LOVED and had PASSION for. If I had that, I
knew that everything else would fall into place.
How does this all tie into Show Ready Events, you ask? Well, approaching my
18-months of this new life and journey in the Northeast, I stepped back to look
at my goals. Was I where I wanted to be? Was I following through on my vision to
a happy and balanced life? I was close, very close. I made adjustments to my
lifestyle to reflect the person I wanted to be, both in my personal and work
life. Something was missing still, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on what
that was. I took the next few months to embrace and take advantage of every
experience. Fast forward one month and I’m officially the newest member of Show
Ready Events. After joining SRE in August and having a few months to reflect on
my expectations, I know I’ve accomplished my final goal: I am in the job that I
set out for and enjoy working each and every day.
I’d like to leave you with a thought on something I quickly picked up on after
joining the SRE team. One of the first things I learned in this new role is that
it doesn’t take a lot of people to make these amazing events happen. Small
groups, big results; dreamers, if you will. You don’t need 100 people to put
together a great event; you just need a few of the right people. A few people
that understand the goal, the vision and that know how to accomplish it are all
you need for a great, quality event. That’s what Show Ready Events is and does
and I’m beyond excited to be a part of this wonderfully small team accomplishing
great big things. Dreamers. J
C.S. Lewis stated, “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new
dream.” As you embark on each new day, never forget to set goals. They can be as small or as big as you want them to be – there is no right or wrong. I look
forward to working with many of you to help accomplish your goals and make your
visions come to life!
